Abbreviations and Definitions

Base or platform = Lower portion of Cycogs' robot that houses the drive and batteries.
Drive = Sub-system comprising wheels and motors for movement on the surface or floor.
CYCOGS' Wheel Assembly Module including intelligence.

Q. How many Wheel Assembly Module units are needed for a robot or other vehicle?
A. The minimum number of units needed is one. The maximum depends on the system design.

Q. What is the maximum number of Wheel Assembly Module units per vehicle controller or channel?
A. The maximum number of units is 254 per vehicle controller or channel. Note that you can have more than one controller.

Q. Must the Wheel Assembly unit be operated off a battery?
A. Both the single and dual Wheel Assembly Modules are designed to run off DC power sources such as a battery. However, batteries are not required as long as the proper DC power is available for operation.

Q. Can I purchase the wheel drive portion of the Wheel Assembly Module?
A. The wheel drive portion (wheel and motor) is the WA or Wheel Assembly. The WA is available for purchase.
